Data Processing Technician I
YOUR MISSION: Demonstrated ability/willingness to learn objective document coding and/or subjective document coding as well as document scanning.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITES
- Enter fielded data from documents into database (data entry)
- Inventory, organize and prepare documents and data
- Operate scanning equipment and software
- Make informed decisions based on guidelines and procedures
- Perform data entry checks to ensure that quality standards are met
- Demonstrate constant attention to detail and the ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks
- Perform print services
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Operations Manager
IE Discovery has an immediate opening in a key strategic position supporting the US Department of Justice. This senior leader will be responsible for transforming a proven pilot program into a 24/7/365 operation capable of delivering timely high quality litigation support services to the 94 USAO districts the Litigation Technology Service Center (LTSC) supports. Long term goals include multiple sites across the US.
The LTSC Operations Manager will be on-site at the LTSC in Columbia, S.C. and exclusively dedicated to LTSC operations. The Operations Manager should be a veteran project manager and litigation support specialist with the management and business experience necessary to lead the LTSC through a substantial expansion of operations. The Operations Manager should have significant experience managing multiple concurrent high volume paper and electronic document processing projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
- Senior level manager with at least 7 years experience managing significant litigation support, litigation technology and discovery projects
- Strong business acumen with significant experience in optimizing and improving upon existing litigation support operations
- Strong project management skills (Certified Project Management Professional preferred)
- Strong technical background (thorough knowledge of E-Discovery and forensics tools; ability to understand system architecture and how the LTSC operation interfaces with and operates within USDOJ)
- Strong leadership skills (ability to motivate LTSC management team and contractor employees to be as cost effective, efficient and productive as possible)
- Strong communication skills (ability to understand and communicate effectively with USDOJ lawyers, litigation support professionals, IT professionals, and contractor staff)
- Strategic planner (ability to evaluate where the LTSC currently is, where it needs to be and help develop a plan for getting there)
- Ability to communicate openly and honestly with LTSC Managing Attorney and EOUSA-OCIO as needed
- Excellent client relations and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about the LTSC mission and committed to partnering with the LTSC Managing Attorney and EOUSA-OCIO to fulfill the mission

Systems/Data Analyst

YOUR MISSION: To contribute your data analysis and data manipulation skills to the legal technology field.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process electronic documents into databases for attorney review.
- Provide routine assistance in meeting project deadlines (e.g., copying or creating CD's and DVD's, transferring data files to network servers and encrypted hard drives, assisting with uploads and downloads
- Convert and load data from a variety of database, text and image formats into and out of various formats. This requires scripting and database work in Microsoft Access, Excel, and SQL Server.
- Assist in process improvements to efficiently automate data analysis and manipulation tasks.
- Convert data between various file formats, assists in data normalization, and creates appropriate file directory structures for the management of data
- Consistently communicate work progress with integrity.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND STRENGTHS
- Strong communicator, detail-oriented, flexible with changing deadlines and requirements.
- IPRO EDD and Paper experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Access or SQL Server
- Experience with VBA or VB is a big plus.
- Experience in document imaging
- Experience with litigation software.
- Experience with regular expressions and Boolean logic is a plus

YOUR BACKGROUND

- Experience with Litigation Support Software such as: IPRO, eCapture, eScan-IT, iConect, e-Review, Transend, EDD or ESI required.
