Government Expertise
Litigation Support and Discovery Management have been IE Discovery’s sole focus for more than 20 years. We have been managing electronically stored information (ESI) for government agencies since 1994. Whether collecting data from legacy systems or culling email and structured data, we cover the full spectrum of eDiscovery services so that our clients can focus on the task at hand, winning their cases. Having worked on hundreds of cases for a variety of federal agencies, IE Discovery has significant expertise in government litigation. We know the demands of tight deadlines and the importance of preventing disclosure of privileged or Privacy Act materials. We understand the need for carefully preserving data to avoid spoliation and we are experienced in navigating the challenges presented by litigation and discovery.
At IE Discovery, we apply innovative solutions to accomplish our client’s mission. We leverage our legal expertise, build defensible processes, create best practices and train people with one goal in mind: superior service to our client. We seek out best-of-breed technologies and structure procedures that reflect the most up-to-date case law. At IE Discovery, we know that learning is continuous and we proactively share this knowledge with our clients.

Over the years, we have:
- Pioneered the use of web-based document repositories starting in 1999;
- Supported agencies in labor and employment, environmental, contracts, and FOIA litigation;
- Used new technology and advanced search techniques to significantly reduce the number of documents requiring review;
- Built a knowledgebase on the identification, review, and collection of documents from Federal Records Centers;
- Developed a deep understanding of the security requirements for litigation and other highly sensitive government documents;
- Worked with agency IT contractors to facilitate the location of data; advised on Lean Six Sigma exercise relating to collection and review processes; and put together Administrative Records;
- Identified a gap in the education of government attorneys and information management and records personnel with regard to the challenges of ESI and inaugurated annual symposia in 2008 on Electronic Discovery for government agencies to bring together all the players in the solution;
- Since 2005, we have presented more than 80 Continuing Legal Education sessions to government personnel.
Any matter at any venue, electronic or paper, our focus is the same: superior service. The people, processes and technology surrounding the management of data and documents are what we do every day. Call us today and let us help you meet your discovery challenges.
